We learn the way of the Darksaber in this episode of Lightsaber Academy. To wield the weapon of the Jedi, you must decide to follow the path toward the light. Or be tempted by the dark side. Here you must take up your Lightsaber and train with the Saber Guild on this episode of Lightsaber Academy.

Pa- oh! No. Foundling. Because this is a very special episode of Lightsaber Academy. And we're gonna learn something a little different today. Eli, nice to meet you. Do you know what this is? 
         
ELI 
The Darksaber of course. 
         
SAL PERALES 
It sure is. Usually the wielder of this is the ruler of Mandalore. Now, the Mandalorians they don't follow the Jedi code. 
         
SARAH NGUYEN 
Nor do they ally themselves with the dark side of the Force. 
 
        
SAL PERALES 
Mm mm, a lot of them have their own philosophies, their own creeds, and one of the creeds that some of them follow. They have a very particular saying, do you know what that is? 
         
ELI 
This is the way. 
         
SAL PERALES 
This is the way. [IN UNISON] 
         
SARAH NGUYEN 
This is the way. [IN UNISON] 
         
ELI 
The Darksaber's cool because you don't really see any people use a Lightsaber besides a Jedi or Sith. And it's just really cool to see somebody that doesn't have Force powers to wield a Lightsaber. 
         
SARAH NGUYEN 
We're going to be learning some new moves today. Ready? 
         
ELI 
This is the way. 
         
SARAH NGUYEN 
This is the way. We're going to countdown the moves in Mando'a. The first move is solus. We're gonna strike high and down. Then t'ad, bring it back into the left shoulder. Good. Ehn. Bring it back to the right shoulder. And then, cuir. Spin to get ready for that strike. Good. This time it's gonna be a little bit faster. Ready stance. 
         
SARAH NGUYEN 
Solus. T'ad. Ehn. Cuir. Solus. T'ad. Ehn. Cuir. That's very good. 
         
SAL PERALES 
The Jedi, Kanan Jarrus, once trained the Mandalorian rebel Sabine Wren. He taught her not to rely on the tricks in her armor's technology. But to commit to the Darksaber training with focus and discipline. Now it's time to put those skills to the test. Are you ready to learn some advanced Darksaber techniques? 
         
ELI

Good, you're connecting with the blade more?

Yes. 
         
SAL PERALES 
That'll help. Foundlings at home, grab your blades. Ignite. And step into ready stance. Now we're gonna do big circles. Big circle, down. Excellent. Now, opposite way. Other side. Half circle up. Now behind. Shoo! Impressive. You're connecting with the blade. It's getting lighter isn't it? 
         
ELI 
Yeah. 
       
  
SAL PERALES 
One more time then. Hup! Hup! Hup! Hup! Shoo! One more time. Faster and more intense. Hup! Shoo! Hup! Shoo! Hup! Hup! Yeah! Wonderful, well done. You keep connecting with your blade. You connect with the Darksaber. And this can protect you just as well as any Beskar armor.
