AMY CONCIERGE DAD DARIUS KAMARA MEGAN MOM MRS_FOSTER MR_FOSTER NOZIZWE RANGER SERVER TIM VENDOR KAMARA Megan, return to base. Incoming greet in one hour. MEGAN Copy, traveling. TIM Can you believe this? Thats a giraffe! Thats a real giraffe right there! Wow. TIM This one here. DARIUS Yeah. TIM You good with everything? DARIUS Yeah. TIM Yeah? NOZIZWE Hello, Tim? Yes. TIM Yes. NOZIZWE Welcome, to Ukubuyela Endle. And yes, we do offer traditional handshaking classes. TIM Ill have to work on that. Nozizwe! Its great to finally meet you in person. NOZIZWE Everybody calls me Mom Nozi. TIM Okay, Mom Nozi. Well, this is Darius Pacheco, the videographer and my right hand man. DARIUS Hi. NOZIZWE Ah, now thats how you do it. Where are you from? DARIUS Cape Town, but Ive been in the US the past few years working with Tim. NOZIZWE Welcome home. DARIUS Thank you. NOZIZWE Now, lets get you inside out of this heat. TIM Thank you. DARIUS Im gonna finish up here. TIM All right, cool. NOZIZWE Ill take you to reception. TIM Yeah. MR FOSTER Oh... huh? MRS FOSTER Oh... huh? MEGAN Hi. MR FOSTER Hi. MRS FOSTER Hi. MEGAN Mr. And mrs foster, Im Megan Henry. Ill be your ranger tomorrow. MRS FOSTER Oh! MEGAN Why dont we meet back here tomorrow morning, is 6:30 too early? MRS FOSTER No, thatll be great. MEGAN Okay great. Have a good rest. Nice to meet you. TIM Oh wow. This is beautiful. NOZIZWE Thank you. We are very proud of it. Ukubuyela Endle means a return to the wild. TIM Well, I cant thank you enough for letting us use your reserve for our little project. NOZIZWE Little? Ive seen the presentation on your theme park ride. It will be like people are on an actual safari. TIM And then find out that it was sponsored by Ukubuyela Endle and want to come and experience the real thing. NOZIZWE I believe they call that synergy. TIM Yes, they do! NOZIZWE Ive organized a ranger for tomorrow so you can get started straight away. TIM You know what, I think Im just gonna stick around here, just get the lay of the land, relax a little bit, take some photos. NOZIZWE Ill see if your room is ready. TIM All right, thank you! TIM Oh, can I help you with something? MEGAN Im good, thank you. TIM Hi. MEGAN Hey. TIM Im just checking out these photos, theyre incredible. How do lions stay so relaxed up in a tree like this? MEGAN Well, thats a good place for a nap and a great place for a lookout. TIM How about this one too? This cheetah is beautiful. MEGAN Yeah, thats one of my favourites. I took it last week. TIM You took this? MEGAN Yeah. TIM Youre a talented photographer. MEGAN Thank you. TIM Is there any way that I can buy these? MEGAN Theyre not really for sale, but I could leave a few copies of them at the front desk for you if you want? TIM That would be great. Thank you. MEGAN Who should I say theyre for? TIM Uh, yeah. Tim Erickson. MEGAN Megan Henry. TIM Nice to meet you, Megan. MEGAN Yeah, you too. TIM And youre sure I cant help you with anything? MEGAN I got it, thanks. TIM Okay. MEGAN Hey, Kamara. KAMARA Hi. Wait, did you take that apart and then fix it again? MEGAN Yeah, just needed a little tweak. KAMARA Wow, I have to give it to you. You are pretty resourceful. MEGAN Yeah, if I could just figure out how to turn three weeks into six months, I would be golden. KAMARA I dont know how you do it, working part time and finishing your Phd. It must all be so hard. MEGAN Yeah, sometimes, but Im in South Africa living my dream, so. KAMARA Oh, and when is your thesis defence due again? MEGAN Its due too soon. KAMARA Okay, and then what happens if you dont finish it on time? MEGAN Im going to feed myself to the lions. KAMARA Wow. MEGAN Hey, do you want to get dressed up and go over to the Boma for dinner? KAMARA Whats the occasion? MEGAN I dont feel like doing my thesis? KAMARA Nice, nice. NOZIZWE Ah, good evening, ladies. KAMARA Ah, good evening, ladies. MEGAN Hi! Hi. KAMARA Hi! Hi. NOZIZWE Perfect timing for an introduction. Tim, this is Dr. Henry. TIM Its nice to see you again. MEGAN You too. TIM Doctor? KAMARA Shes working on it. MEGAN This is my friend, Kamara. Shes one of the rangers here. KAMARA Not yet, Im working on it. Im a trainee. DARIUS And Im Darius, I work with Tim. KAMARA Oh, hi. DARIUS Hi. MEGAN So how long will you be staying? TIM Well be here for three weeks so well definitely be seeing each other again. MEGAN Absolutely. Well, we will let you enjoy your dinner. Have a good night. TIM You as well. NOZIZWE Ill leave you to it, enjoy. TIM Thank you. KAMARA Wow, two very handsome guys and here we are, completely available. MEGAN Oh, speak for yourself. Im available for one thing and that is work. KAMARA After knowing you for three years, I think I have that figured out. MEGAN Are you calling me boring? KAMARA No! Never. MEGAN I will have you know I think about things other than work all the time. Sometimes. Okay fine, every once in a while. Maybe I do spend a little too much time studying dung beetles. KAMARA Yeah. MEGAN Oh, morning Shandor. TIM Morning! MEGAN Oh, hey. Wow, thats, um-- thats a lot of great equipment for a safari. TIM Yeah, you can never have too much. MEGAN I agree. Besides, if youre going out in the wild, you want to get as many good photos as you can. TIM Well, as long as we get some great video, were good. MEGAN Oh, are you filmmakers? TIM No, theme park designers. Were here getting some ideas for our new attraction. MEGAN Cool, like a roller coaster? Or-- TIM No, but Ive done those. This is a little more impressive. Its an immersive attraction, virtual reality, special effects, robotic animals. MEGAN So all of this equipment just to make a fake savanna and fake lions that jump out and go raah! TIM Do lions go raah? So how long have you been a photographer? MEGAN Well, my grandpa got me my first camera when I was about four. I fancied myself pretty good at taking pictures of peoples noses. And then, you know, every once in a while Id catch an ear. TIM Well, by the looks of it from those pictures inside, youve improved just a little bit. MEGAN Mmm, thank you. Its just a hobby. TIM Oh? So youre a ranger now? MEGAN Yeah, but in real life, Im actually a research scientist. TIM Really? So I guess youd know if a lion goes raah. MEGAN Mmm, I would. Oh, morning! Get on in. I should get back to work, but be careful out there. TIM I mean, it looks pretty safe to me. MEGAN Oh yeah, I mean, it looks innocent enough, but you see that field over there? Yesterday I was driving by and I spotted a pride of eighteen lions sleeping, completely hidden in the grass. TIM Eighteen lions? MEGAN Yeah. TIM Are they here at the lodge too? MEGAN Oh yeah, theyre free to roam wherever they want. TIM No fences. MEGAN No fences, no nothing. Have fun. TIM Theres eighteen lions over there. Well, there was-- DARIUS But theres fences, right? TIM No, theres no fences. MEGAN The babies are trying to cool themselves off with mud. MRS FOSTER Get some pictures. MEGAN Beautiful, arent they? MRS FOSTER Absolutely beautiful. MRS FOSTER Whats that noise? MEGAN What is... MEGAN Kamara. Come in, Kamara. Over. KAMARA Whats up? MEGAN Hey, so I just spotted a drone flying low over the park. Can you check it out? KAMARA Ten Four. Im on it. MEGAN Thank you. MEGAN I think were pretty good here for now. MRS FOSTER Oh, its absolutely fabulous. MEGAN It never gets old. MRS FOSTER Whats that? DARIUS See, this is what Im getting. TIM Oh yeah, check out that. Whats that? MEGAN Hey, what are you doing? TIM Oh, hey. Were just checking to see whats lurking in the bushes before we venture out. This drone is fantastic. DARIUS Yeah. MEGAN Im sure it is, but you cant use it here. TIM Really? MEGAN Really. TIM Whats the problem? MEGAN Uh, well, for starters, its illegal to use a drone in a legislated protected area, so if the authorities catch you, theyll take your drone and youll be banned from using the reserve. TIM Youre kidding, right? MEGAN Nope. TIM Well, how am I supposed to get my job done? I need to use a drone. MEGAN The old fashioned way? Like everybody else. You get a ranger, you drive around, see if you can you spot something. TIM That doesnt sound terribly efficient. MEGAN Well, neither is your drone seeing as youre going to have to stop using it. TIM You just-- you have something against technology, right? MEGAN No, but I do have something against disturbing the animals in the natural world. TIM Personally, I dont think a little drone is disturbing anything. Its a flying camera. Think of it as a bird. MEGAN You can think of it however you want, but youre going to have to stop using it. TIM I dont think youre right about that. MEGAN Would you prefer I write a ticket and give you a fine right now? TIM You dont have the authority to do that. MEGAN As a park ranger, I do have the authority and Im afraid youre going to have to deal with me. TIM You? MEGAN Yeah. Me. Darius, can you please bring the drone in? Now. DARIUS Tim? TIM You can bring the drone in. Yeah. MEGAN Thank you. TIM Youre welcome. MEGAN Okay, Ill see you later. NOZIZWE Morning, Megan. I was looking for you. I need a little favour. MEGAN Anything for you. NOZIZWE I was hoping youd say that. Ive changed your guests for today. I put the Fosters with Bandile. MEGAN Okay, no problem. NOZIZWE Thank you. MEGAN Yeah, Ill see you later. NOZIZWE Okay. TIM Lets go see some wildlife! DARIUS Oh yeah. MEGAN Tim? TIM Megan? MEGAN You know what? I think there might have been a mistake. Im just gonna go check with Mom Nozi really quick. TIM Uh, no, I spoke to Nozizwe and she told us to take the vehicle thats in the driveway at 7:00 a.m. Its 7:00 a.m. and I dont see any other vehicles. MEGAN You dont have your drone with you, do you? TIM No, but I can go get it if you want me to. MEGAN If youre all ready, we can head out. TIM Yeah. Oh, and today, we need to see some giraffes. MEGAN Oh, okay. Yeah, giraffes, Ill just give them a call. TIM How difficult can it be to spot a giraffe? MEGAN All ready to go? TIM Yeah. DARIUS Yeah. MEGAN To the giraffes. Theyre expecting us. DARIUS Yeah, good luck with that, man. Theres like zero signal out here. TIM Well, this is great. I guess my safari attraction is going to be a bunch of people looking out over an empty savanna, listening to weird sounds. MEGAN Shhh. TIM Darius, Darius! Look at that, look at this. Wow! How did you know it was there? MEGAN I know what to listen and look for. You know, the crazy thing is, you can be right beside them and not even realize it. TIM How? Theyre so big, and beautiful. MEGAN Do you want to follow her? TIM Yeah, lets do it. DARIUS Can we? TIM Please? Yeah, lets do that. MEGAN Okay. TIM Hey, Darius. Just give me a minute, Ill catch up with you. DARIUS Okay, cool. TIM Umm.. MEGAN Yeah? TIM I owe you a huge apology. I shouldnt have had my drone out yesterday and I did not take being set straight very well. MEGAN Its okay, Im sorry too. I get a little passionate when it comes to the wildlife. TIM Well, I appreciate passion. You dont have to be sorry, it was all on me. Can we just put this behind us and start fresh? MEGAN Sure. I would like that. TIM Do you want to grab a cold drink or something? MEGAN Uh, I have a ton of work Ive got to get done. TIM Everybody needs a break. MEGAN Okay, yeah. Sure. I just need to go get changed, I can meet you on the veranda in twenty minutes? TIM Okay. TIM Hey. MEGAN Hey. TIM Look at this. MEGAN I know, they come almost every day. Here you go. TIM Thank you. MEGAN Youre welcome. TIM I got you an iced tea. MEGAN Thank you. TIM Oh man. You could be a professional. MEGAN Well, its just part of his job. TIM Which one? Research scientist? Ranger? Photographer? MEGAN Research. Im working on my thesis so I need a ton of photos to do my defence. TIM Masters? phd? MEGAN phd in ethology. TIM Ethology? MEGAN Yeah, its the study of animal behaviour. TIM Like Jane Goodall? MEGAN Yeah, exactly. Yeah, shes one of the greatest in our field. TIM So where did you study? MEGAN Braxton University in Pennsylvania. TIM What made you come out here? MEGAN The dream was always to come here to do research for my Phd. TIM So youre an underachiever... Its an expensive dream. MEGAN Yeah, and it was one I couldnt really afford to be honest, but then I heard about this rangers program and it would allow me to work part time to pay for my expenses. So four years ago, I packed my bags, came out here, got my rangers license and here I am. TIM So youve been here for four years? MEGAN No, not all together. The first few years I was here I was here working as a ranger to get the money together that I needed to do my Phd. And then, I went back to Braxton to do all my courses. TIM So when did you come back here? MEGAN Five months ago to do my research and then now Ive just been working on my thesis defence, which needs to be accepted before I get my Phd. TIM When do you have to have it completed by? MEGAN Now-ish. Yeah, Im going back in a month to get the presentation ready. TIM Well, it seems like you got it all figured out. MEGAN Yeah, well see. I still have a lot of research to do and then I have to come up with a creative way to present my thesis defence. That-- that is the scary part. TIM Wow, thats a lot of pressure. MEGAN Yeah. Speaking of which, I really should get back to work. TIM Is it okay if I walked with you? MEGAN Yeah. Sure. TIM Okay. TIM So what exactly is the research youre doing here? MEGAN The big cats, I study their population, their behaviour, their response to habitat loss. TIM For what purposes? MEGAN Conservation. A lot of the big cats are on a fast track to extinction. So. TIM Thats unthinkable. MEGAN Yeah. TIM You know, I admire you sacrificing so much to come out here and stick with it. MEGAN Thanks. I do it because I love it. Well, this is me. Its been really nice talking with you. TIM Yeah. Yeah, you too. MEGAN And literally, I did all the talking. I dont quite know how that happened. TIM I guess Im an inquisitive human. MEGAN Yeah, well, youd make a good scientist. TIM Oh, I dont know about that, I dont have the patience. The good thing about theme park design is that I get to travel a lot. I finish one project, then I move on to the next challenge. MEGAN Hmm. Do you like being on the go all the time? TIM Yeah. Yeah, I love it. Im here. MEGAN If inspiration is what youre looking for, you definitely came to the right place. Ill see you tomorrow. TIM See you tomorrow. TIM Oh, look at that! So beautiful. Whoa, look at them go! Wow. TIM The wildebeests came in? DARIUS Tim, I want to see if I can get a few shots of the warthogs and impala. Yeah? TIM Yeah. DARIUS So Ill catch up with you guys later. MEGAN Sounds good, see you in a bit. TIM All right, cool. TIM Oh, everyones meeting here now. MEGAN Mm-hmm. Hi! NOZIZWE How was lunch? MEGAN Oh, perfect as always. Thank you. NOZIZWE Excellent. I hope youre both coming to the Boma for a braai tonight. MEGAN Wouldnt miss it. NOZIZWE Ill see you at six. TIM Okay. MEGAN Sounds good. TIM Whats a braai? MEGAN Its kind of like a barbecue. TIM Well count me in. MEGAN Hey, would you be interested in doing a short walking safari? TIM Now? Here? MEGAN Yeah. TIM What about the eighteen lions? MEGAN Well, we have areas that are cleared by our trackers and we take the ranger trainees out there all the time. TIM Yet another job to add to your resume? MEGAN Yeah, well, we all participate in training here. Mostly I just hang out with Kamara. Come on. TIM Okay. TIM This is what I envisioned for the theme park. Imagine bringing this experience to kids and families. I just gotta figure out how to make it happen. Wow, look at that! MEGAN Oh yeah, theyre so cute arent they? TIM So cute. MEGAN Well, I think it all sounds very exciting. TIM Its not as exciting as what you do. MEGAN What? You create. Not everyone can do that. How did you get into it? TIM For my tenth birthday, my parents took us all to Disney and it blew my mind. I came home that day and I said, I want to design something like that so I can go whenever I want. MEGAN So you went to Penn State, did you grow up in Pennsylvania? TIM No. No, I grew up in upstate New York. MEGAN Oh, where do you live? TIM New York City. MEGAN New York City... TIM Yeah, a long way from home, huh? MEGAN Must be exciting. TIM It is, it is. I love it. I work for this great boutique agency called Colvin Designs. Its the best job ever, and I recently-- Im working on this proposal for Chipperfield Theme Parks. Theyre one of the biggest players in their industry. MEGAN Wow, thats amazing. TIM Yeah. If we get this contract, it would be a huge step up in my career. Now Im the one thats been talking the entire time. Im sorry about that. MEGAN Its okay, I dont mind. Ive liked hearing more about you. NOZIZWE All right, are you ready for tonights entertainment? TIM Oh yeah. NOZIZWE Of course you are. TIM Oh yeah. NOZIZWE Drums, please. KAMARA Oh, that was fun last night! MEGAN It really was, Mom Nozi knows how to throw a party. KAMARA And you were actually having a good time. Ive never seen you laugh so much. MEGAN Okay, me? What about you and Darius, huh? Whats going on there? KAMARA Hes cute, isnt he? And Tim? What a handsome guy. Hed be perfect for you. MEGAN Yeah, Ive had the perfect for you guy, it hasnt worked out so well for me, so Im going to stick with my very faithful companion, work. KAMARA Ah. Work isnt the only thing in life, you know. MEGAN No, but right now, getting my Phd kinda is. KAMARA Okay, too bad because Tim is so handsome. MEGAN Hmm, I hadnt noticed. KAMARA Oh, you coming with me to the school tomorrow? MEGAN Oh, yeah. Of course, I wouldnt miss it. KAMARA Um, why dont we invite Tim and Darius? MEGAN I dont know. I mean, Tim is here to work on his presentation and... KAMARA Its just that, Id like to spend some time with Darius and it would be awkward if I invited him on his own. MEGAN Okay, fine. We will invite them. TIM Thank you for inviting us. MEGAN Yeah, of course. You know, Kamara actually went to school here. Her and Mom Nozi come and visit the students every month. TIM Really? KAMARA So, what do you think? TIM Its amazing! Yeah, Megan said that you went to school here. KAMARA Yeah, well, except when I started, there was one small building. Mom Nozi made all of this possible. MEGAN Yeah, she raised all the money using profits from the reserve. TIM Its so great that shes done well and is paying it forward. KAMARA Did you want to meet some of the students? DARIUS Yes, please! TIM Yeah! Please, yes. KAMARA This way. TIM Okay. TIM All right. MEGAN Get in there! MEGAN Im losing my beat! Okay, okay. TIM Shoulders, right? Okay, all right. NOZIZWE Welcome to Ukubuyela Endle. AMY Thank you, Im Amy Bradshaw. NOZIZWE Miss Bradshaw, of course. We have one of the best suites ready for you in the upper lodge. AMY Oh, fantastic. TIM That was incredible. MEGAN Yeah, Im so glad you enjoyed it. TIM Yeah. MEGAN I think theyre so sweet. AMY Okay, Daddy. Ill let you know how it goes. Yeah, sure. Talk soon. Love you, bye! MEGAN Im not even kidding. AMY Tim! TIM Amy? AMY Hi! Its so good to see you. TIM Wow, yeah, its-- wow! Im so sorry, this is Megan Henry, shes our ranger here. AMY Oh, ranger! Oh, hi. Amy. MEGAN Nice to meet you. AMY Nice to meet you too. TIM Amy and I went to school together, we went to the same design college. MEGAN Oh, very cool. Well, I hope you enjoy your stay. AMY Im sure I will, thanks. TIM What are you doing here? AMY Oh, its a long story. We have so much to catch up on, but I am just about to order lunch. Do you want to join me? TIM Yeah, sure. Do we have enough time before our next drive? MEGAN Oh, yeah, yeah. Theres time, for sure. Why dont you go ahead, Ill catch up with you later. TIM No, no. You should join us. MEGAN Oh, no. I have so much I have to do. I should get back to work anyway. TIM Are you sure? MEGAN Yeah, absolutely. It was really nice to meet you, Amy. AMY You too! MEGAN Bye. TIM Okay, see you in a bit. MEGAN Yeah. AMY Looking good! TIM Thank you, so are you. AMY Thanks. Wow, its absolutely gorgeous here. TIM Yeah! AMY I cannot believe it has been ten years since we saw each other. TIM Ten years. AMY Since we graduated. AMY I mean, its so great to see you again. TIM You too. So are you here on vacation? AMY No. I am here for work. Were actually going to be working together. At least, I hope. TIM Youre working for my company now? AMY The thing is, Tim, my dad just bought your company, Colvin Designs. So, um... TIM Wow... Oh. AMY And I am now running the theme park division. TIM So does that mean youre my-- AMY Boss... TIM Boss... AMY Yes. TIM Youre my boss... AMY I am. So Im guessing youre wondering why I am here. TIM Thats the burning question. AMY I knew youd be shocked when you found out, so I thought it would be best to come here and tell you in person, especially since weve known each other for so long, you know. TIM Yeah, yeah. Did you know that I was with working for Colvin Designs before the sale? AMY No, not at all. Imagine my surprise. TIM Well, I appreciate you coming all the way out here to let me know. AMY Yes, of course. We have a lot of things to look at with the new company and I guess I just wanted to check in with you to see if we could work together. You know? TIM Well, Im sure we can. AMY Yes? TIM Yeah... AMY All right. TIM You know, why dont we go on a drive so I can show you the world Im planning to bring into my new concept. AMY I would love that. TIM Great. AMY Hi! SERVER Can I take your order? AMY Oh wow! TIM Look at that! Its a baby! AMY Theyre so cute! Hey, Tim, why dont we get a few shots of you out there. I mean, itll be great for publicity. Can you imagine the headline, Theme park designer walking with the elephants. MEGAN Im really sorry, Amy, but were just a little too close to do that. AMY But why? Theyre so calm, everything looks so serene. MEGAN I know it looks serene, its just really not safe. AMY Oh come on, it would just be for a minute. MEGAN It doesnt really matter. See, the thing is, we have to remember that this is their world. Were simply visitors in it. As long as we respect their space, theyll let us be here. TIM And besides, we dont know whats lurking out there? AMY Elephants? TIM And lions, hyenas, leopards. AMY All right, lets move on then. Can we find a safer place? MEGAN Yeah! DARIUS Sure. AMY All right. TIM Yeah. MEGAN Sure. TIM Hows this? DARIUS All right, thats lovely. Could you scooch over to the left a little? TIM Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. DARIUS Cool. AMY Couldnt you find anything better for a backdrop, Darius? DARIUS I mean, this is gorgeous, Amy, and you wanted safe. This is the best I could do at a minutes notice. AMY Yeah, but we should be standing out in a field with zebras running and lions roaring. I could have stayed home and photoshopped these. TIM Okay, well, why dont I talk to Nozizwe and see if she can suggest some place better... AMY I really need wildlife in the background, Tim. I would even settle for a cow at this point. They have cows here, right? TIM Yeah, I think they have cows here. AMY Hey, uh-- you have a drone, right? DARIUS Yes, I do. AMY Yeah, lets put it to work. TIM You cant fly a drone here. AMY Says who? TIM Megan. AMY What a surprise. All right, Ill have a chat with her. Im sure we can sort something out. TIM Well, look, why dont I talk to her and see if she can take us out on another safari and find some place safe I can get out of the vehicle. AMY Sounds good. TIM Okay. MEGAN Okay, you can get out, but I need you to stay close to the vehicle. TIM Are you sure? They dont sound too happy. MEGAN Well, its daytime so theyll stay in or close to the river and Ill keep an eye on them and the clearing. Come on. AMY Yeah. So Tim, why dont you run down a little closer to the bank so Darius can get a few good shots of you. MEGAN Oh, no. No, Im sorry, we cant do that. AMY Well, why not? You just said that they stay in the river, and if something happens, then Tim can just run back to the car. TIM Well, how fast can they run? MEGAN Well, theyll outrun you. I mean, they dont call them a river horse for nothing. TIM Yeah, Id say its probably a pretty bad idea to go down there. MEGAN Yeah. TIM Yeah. AMY Did you bring your drone with you? DARIUS Um, yeah, but you know we cant use them, right? AMY Yeah, I know theyre not permitted, but I mean, were in the middle of nowhere. Whos gonna notice? MEGAN Um, Ill notice. AMY But were all friends here, right. MEGAN Sure, yeah, its just as a Park Ranger its my job to ensure that all of the protocols are followed. AMY Everyone breaks the rules, Megan. Lets loosen up, lets have a bit of fun here. MEGAN Amy, if youre going to be out here, I need you to understand one thing very clearly. Poachers use drones to find our rhinos and elephants, so they will not be tolerated under any circumstances. AMY Okay. MEGAN Thanks. TIM I knew Id find you here. MEGAN Oh, hey. TIM Um, I just-- I wanted to say Im sorry about yesterday. I appreciate you taking us out and I know how busy you are. MEGAN Its no problem. I just dont know how helpful it was. TIM It was great. MEGAN Is Amy settling in okay? TIM Yeah. Yeah, shes fine. MEGAN Good. You know, youre a lucky guy. Not many people have a friend who would travel halfway around just to visit them. TIM I guess so. MEGAN So you guys have been friends for a long time? TIM Well, outside of going to college together, we dated for a few months, that was like ten years ago. I havent seen her since or even really kept in touch. MEGAN So... Sorry, I dont mean to sound intrusive, but why is she here? TIM Her dad just bought Colvins. MEGAN Oh. Wow. TIM Yeah... MEGAN Okay, what does that mean for you? TIM Amy is now running the theme park design division, so shes effectively my new boss. MEGAN Wow. TIM So. Whats more stressful, being a ranger or doing research? MEGAN Oh, research. Hands down. TIM Really? MEGAN Yeah, I mean, its nothing I can control. Im-- I still want to do some more research on the leopards and then theres this pride of white lions that I was following, but theyve been so elusive lately. TIM Ive never seen a leopard. And white lions? MEGAN Theyre really rare. Theres only about a dozen of them left in the wild. TIM What I wouldnt give to see a white lion. And a leopard. MEGAN Well, one of our trackers just spotted a leopard and her cubs down by the river and Kamara and I were planning on going to see if we could spot her. If you and Amy wanted to come, youre welcome. TIM Amys got video calls this morning, but Id love to come. MEGAN Okay. TIM Meet you in the front in ten? MEGAN Yeah, I just have to put my stuff in my room. TIM Yeah, okay. MEGAN Do you hear those alarm calls? TIM Yeah, what is it? MEGAN Its guinea fowl and baboons. They know that shes here. TIM Where do you think she is? MEGAN I would say shes about a hundred yards away in that brush up there. Its where the trackers last spotted her. TIM Wait a second. I see her! MEGAN Really? TIM Yeah, yeah! Just to the right. To the right of the bush. MEGAN Okay. TIM Darius, you getting this? DARIUS Yes, man! Im getting it. MEGAN Nice work. Thats her. You know what, theres actually-- theres a road up ahead, if we head over there we might be able to get a better view. DARIUS Yes! MEGAN Oh! TIM What was that? MEGAN A flat tire. TIM What do we do now? MEGAN Well, well just have to call road service and if they cant come, then well grab a cab. TIM You dont have those out here, do you? MEGAN No. No, we dont even have service. All right, everybody out, lets go. DARIUS Whoa, whoa, wait, hold on. Youre kidding, right? I mean, theres a leopard out there. TIM Yeah! MEGAN Yeah, and your job is to make sure she doesnt come over here. TIM How-- how do we-- MEGAN Here. TIM What am I supposed to do with this, defend myself? MEGAN If she does come over this way, just, whatever you do, dont run. DARIUS Megan, youre kidding, right? MEGAN Uh-uh, out. DARIUS Shes kidding, right? TIM No, shes not kidding. Lets go. Lets do this. DARIUS We should not be out here. DARIUS Just-- just-- its a leopard-- TIM Stop holding onto me, man. KAMARA Okay, looks like were done. MEGAN Yeah. DARIUS Okay, go, go. MEGAN You okay? You look a little pale. TIM Im good, Im cool. Lets go. MEGAN All right, you know, were just not completely out of the woods yet. TIM Thats a bad joke. MEGAN Thank you very much, yeah. KAMARA Uh, were going to head back to the lodge. MEGAN Okay. DARIUS Yeah. TIM Wow! MEGAN Doesnt get much better than this. DAD Hey, Ames. Its good to hear from you. Have you settled in? AMY Im doing okay, daddy. Just a few little issues. DAD Oh, whats up? AMY Im not getting to spend as much time with Tim as Id hoped. DAD Why? Whats the problem? AMY He seems more interested in spending time with a certain ranger over here. DAD Well, dont let that get in your way. I mean, youve been friends for years. That should count for something. AMY Yeah, Im working on it. DAD Hes your best asset going forward, so you better lock him down before one of our competitors comes in and snaps him up. AMY Yeah, I know. Working on it. DAD And getting that Chipperfield contract right now is a priority. You know its not going to happen without Tim. AMY Yeah, I know. All right, well talk again soon. Ill check in. All right. MEGAN Do you want to get out? TIM Theres no leopards, is there? MEGAN I mean, there might be, but its one of our walking safari locations. Dont worry, youre safe with me. Come on. TIM Okay. Wow. MEGAN Pretty cool, huh? TIM You know, I admire what you do. You give your all for this. Where do you find any time for personal life? MEGAN This is my personal life. TIM But do you miss going out with friends? Hanging out, having fun? Being spontaneous? MEGAN Im sorry, is changing a tire beside a leopard not spontaneous enough for you? TIM Thats a good point. MEGAN Thank you. TIM Look at them, wow. Theyre beautiful. MEGAN Yeah, they are. TIM I havent seen many two-legged eligible bachelors around here. MEGAN You never know. I might find one hiding up a tree. TIM Seriously, though. MEGAN I dated someone for three years in college. We got engaged and when we graduated, we planned on travelling the world, doing our research, starting a family. TIM And then? MEGAN Uh. Then he changed his mind. Yeah, we spend some time apart to figure some things out. I came out here, and while I was gone he met someone else, so it ended. I spent a little too much over it and then decided I should just get on with my life. TIM That was it for love? MEGAN Pretty much. I mean, Ive dated a bit. I just-- I dont know, I dont see the point in pursuing something if its going to go anywhere. TIM Well, what if you unexpectedly met someone and fell in love? MEGAN The timing would have to be right. What about you? TIM I havent-- no, Im-- I have nobody special in my life either. I dated someone on and off for a couple years, but work got in the way and we drifted apart. We split up about a year ago. MEGAN So not a relationship guy? TIM No, actually quite the opposite. Id like to find love, its just work seems to always get in the way. MEGAN Yeah, I get that. Sometimes work just has to come first. TIM Yeah, or maybe we just work so much because we havent found the right person yet. MEGAN Yeah, maybe. AMY Look at all these magnificent animals. DARIUS Yeah. AMY Such a missed opportunity to use that drone, dont you think? DARIUS I guess so. AMY You know, I dont understand why Megan is being such a stickler for rules. Im sure lots of people send their drones up and no one really cares. You just have to be careful. DARIUS Look, Amy, Im just here to do my job. AMY Oh yes, of course. Of course, yeah. Can I? DARIUS Oh, look. AMY Oh, these are amazing, Darius. DARIUS Yeah? AMY Hey, can you send them to me? DARIUS Of course. AMY Yeah, Ill make sure they get into the hands of the Ceo. As a matter of fact, I can just introduce you when we get back. DARIUS No way! AMY Yeah, of course. DARIUS That would be great, Amy. Thank you! AMY I mean, youre part of the family-- well, company. You know what I mean. DARIUS I get you. AMY Yeah. DARIUS Honestly, I must say, thats really good to hear. I wasnt sure what was going to happen after the sale. AMY Dont worry. I got your back. DARIUS Thank you. AMY Mm-hmm. Ugh, such a shame we cant use the drone. Can you imagine how impressed head office would be if we did? Just picture elephants, giraffe, lions, cheetahs, leopards all roaming across the savannah. But I guess it is what it is. All right, see you later. MEGAN Oh great, not working again. TIM What happened? Is that your only camera? MEGAN I know its a dinosaur, but its served me well. TIM Well, you can use my camera. Its brand new, the latest in technology. I know how much you love that. MEGAN Here, let me get a picture of you with the cheetah. Okay. TIM Okay. MEGAN What do you think? TIM Its great. MEGAN We should probably get back before it gets dark. TIM Im sure it gets pretty scary out here at night. MEGAN Yeah, but its really beautiful with the stars. TIM Why didnt you get scared? MEGAN Part of the job. We should head back for dinner. TIM Yeah. Wow. That was amazing. MEGAN I would like to make a toast to Mom Nozi for being the reason that we are all here, and to the beautiful friendships weve made this week. But most importantly, to my friend, Kamara, because tonight, Mom Nozi has officially certified you as a Park Ranger. Congratulations. TIM Congrats! Cheers. KAMARA Oh! Oh, wow. MEGAN You deserve it, Kamara. KAMARA Thank you! TIM I would also like to make a toast. I came here to get inspiration for my work. I got so much more than that. Thanks, Megan. Thanks for giving us a safari experience that we will never forget. DARIUS indeed! TIM Cheers, Megan. KAMARA To Megan! MEGAN Cheers. TIM Cheers. MEGAN No, it was crazy. AMY Well, it sounds like you guy had a pretty awesome day. MEGAN We did. Maybe next time you can come with us. AMY Yeah, maybe I will. TIM Who wants a night cap? AMY Uh, not for me. MEGAN You know what, Ill have one. Whatever youre having. TIM Okay. AMY He sure is a charmer, isnt he? MEGAN Sorry? AMY Oh, look at that smile. Come on, dont tell me you havent noticed. Hes having fun here, Megan. And with you. MEGAN Its part of the job to make sure everyone has the best safari experience. AMY Yeah. You know we dated, right? MEGAN Yeah. Yeah, he mentioned. AMY Sometimes still wonder what would have happened if wed stuck it out. TIM All right, here we are. AMY All right, well I am heading out. We have a big day tomorrow. All work, no distractions. Because youre all mine for the next few days. MEGAN No cheetahs, I promise. Were just going to a hyena den full of hyena pups. TIM Hyena pups? AMY Yeah. See you at 7 for breakfast? TIM Ill be there, it doesnt sound as fun as hyena pups though. AMY Goodnight, Megan. MEGAN Goodnight, Amy. Good luck with your work. AMY Yeah, thank you. TIM Yeah, I cant believe that day that we had. MEGAN I know. TIM Honestly. MEGAN Cheers to that. TIM Cheers. Hyena pups... MEGAN So cute. AMY I looked at your design yesterday and I thought it would be helpful if you could maybe lay out a small prototype or something? TIM You know what, I had one but I pressed pause on it. I think Im going to be changing it up quite a bit. AMY How come? TIM Its just I have to find a creative way to incorporate all the things Ive seen and experienced here. AMY All right, sure. Can I ask you a personal question? TIM Yeah, sure. AMY Ive been thinking a lot about our college days. Remember when we broke up, we agreed to remain friends, and we were for a while. Do you think well ever get that back? TIM Well, it was ten years ago. I think weve changed a lot since then. AMY Were still the same people, arent we? TIM I think most people change over time. We have new experiences, we mature, we meet different people. AMY We make new friends that replace the old ones? TIM I dont think meeting new friends means you need to replace the old ones. AMY I see the way you are with Megan. And I used to be that friend that you laughed with and had fun with and I guess Im just a little envious of that. TIM Envious? AMY I guess I just feel a little slighted. TIM Im sorry, that wasnt my intention. AMY I mean, I guess when we bought Colvin Designs, I assumed that we could just rekindle our old friendship and work together to build my new division. TIM Youre now my new boss. Its impossible for things to stay the same. AMY Yeah, all right. KAMARA Hows everything going with Tim? MEGAN Good. KAMARA Good? Thats it? MEGAN Yeah, Im having fun. KAMARA Wow, Megan Henry finally admitting to having fun. Now, thats progress. Wait, is that a spark of love that I sense in the air? MEGAN Okay, dont take it too far. In two weeks, hes gonna be home and Im going to be back to my statistics, chasing lions and finishing my defence. KAMARA Yup, okay. And then Tim will be back in New York with Amy. Dont you just find it strange that shes here in the first place? MEGAN Yeah, I do, but shes his new boss. KAMARA Where did that came from? MEGAN Looks like the lodge. NOZIZWE Hey. MEGAN Hey, Kamara and I just spotted a drone flying near the hyena den. It looked like it was launched from here. NOZIZWE Yes, several other rangers saw it too and called it in. MEGAN Well, any idea who was flying it? NOZIZWE No, but one of the reports said it was a guest of yours. Looked like the same one they saw last week. It had a yellow stripe. MEGAN No, thats impossible. I mean, the only person I know of that has a drone is Tim, and theres no way he would be flying it. Is it possible that it was another guest? NOZIZWE Tims drone is the only one I have registered here. MEGAN It doesnt make any sense. NOZIZWE No, it doesnt, but you know how unbending the anti-poaching team is about the use of drones. They may ask for a temporary suspension of your license. MEGAN Is there anything I can do to resolve this? I only have two more weeks. NOZIZWE Youll have to ask Tim to turn in his drone immediately. MEGAN Okay. Do you know where he is? NOZIZWE I saw him outside a little while ago in the giraffe garden with Amy. MEGAN Okay, thank you. MEGAN Hey, can I talk to you for a minute? TIM Yeah, sure. MEGAN Privately, if thats okay? TIM No problem. MEGAN Do you know anything about a drone flying over the park about a mile or so from here? TIM No. No, Ive been working with Amy all day. Why, whats up? Is something wrong? MEGAN Yeah, some complaints were registered. My name was mentioned. Look, Tim, Im going to have to take your drone. TIM What? MEGAN I need to confiscate it. TIM Youre not suggesting I was the one that was flying it? MEGAN No, Im not accusing you of anything. TIM Well, it sounds like you are. MEGAN Tim, I need you to understand I have a lot on the line here. This is the second drone incident in two weeks. If this is linked to me in any way, I could lose my rangers license. Do you know what that would mean? TIM Well, I can-- MEGAN It would mean that I would have to shut down all of my research. TIM Well, I can tell you that your name wont be linked to it because it wasnt my drone. MEGAN Well, is there any way that somebody else could have gotten their hands on it? TIM No, Darius is the one that has it and theres no way he would have flown it. MEGAN Well, Im gonna need you to check because youre the only guests that we know of that have one. TIM I dont know what to say, Ill make sure we hand the drone in later today. MEGAN Thank you. Shell give it back to you when youre leaving. TIM Okay. TIM Hey, man. DARIUS Hi. TIM I just spoke to Megan. DARIUS Oh, yeah. She came to see me, she seemed pretty upset. TIM Yeah, wheres the drone? DARIUS Its in my room. TIM You didnt lend it to anyone, did you? DARIUS No, I wouldnt do that. TIM We need to hand it in to Mom Nozi right away. DARIUS Okay. Ill do that now. TIM Okay, thanks. Catch you in a bit. CONCIERGE Yes NOZIZWE Thanks. MEGAN Hey. RANGER Hello, how are you? NOZIZWE Hey. MEGAN Hey, any news on the drone yet? NOZIZWE Nothing yet, but Im working on it. MEGAN Mom Nozi, I hope you know I would never allow one of my guests to fly a drone here. NOZIZWE Oh, Megan, I know that. Youd be the first person to shut them down. MEGAN Is this going to reflect poorly on you? Or the reserve? NOZIZWE Dont worry about us. It will all get sorted out. MEGAN Thank you for everything youve done to help me. NOZIZWE Im shutting down for the night. Can I offer you a nice cold glass of white wine? MEGAN I would love one. Yeah. NOZIZWE Thank you. MEGAN Youre the best, thank you (indistinct). RANGER Thank you so much MEGAN Cheers. Have a good sleep. NOZIZWE I will. TIM Megan, hey. Hi. MEGAN Hey. TIM Do you have a second? MEGAN Sure. TIM Today was a strange day. MEGAN Yes, it was. TIM I hope that you know I had nothing to do with the drone. I would never do anything to ruin your reputation or jeopardize what youve worked so hard to accomplish here. MEGAN I know, I just panicked when I thought there was a chance that I could lose my rangers license and not be able to complete my research. TIM Well, thats understandable. MEGAN You know, when I first came here. I was so proud of myself. I would just hate to leave feeling ashamed. TIM Why would you feel shamed? Youre smart, strong. Hands down, youre the bravest person Ive ever known. MEGAN Im not that brave, believe me. TIM No, Im serious. Theres not one thing that youve been afraid of out there. MEGAN Mmm. Lots of things scare me, believe me. TIM Okay, like what? MEGAN Like failure. Not finishing what I came here to do. TIM Havent you achieved everything you came here for? MEGAN No, I still want to do more research on the white lions. That was my biggest goal. TIM And if for some reason you cant find them, then what? MEGAN Hmm, then I will still submit my thesis, and hopefully get my Phd. TIM Of course youre gonna get your Phd. MEGAN You know what? TIM What? MEGAN I cant drink wine without a snack. TIM I cant drink beer without a snack. MEGAN Do you think we should order in? TIM Yes! MEGAN Maybe pizza? TIM Yeah, Id love pizza. Wait a second, is this one of those cab jokes again? MEGAN Maybe. TIM Oh, ha-ha. Got me again. Well, now Im hungry. MEGAN Follow me. I have an idea. MEGAN Okay, yeah. I think we have everything we need. TIM For what? MEGAN For malva pudding. Kamara made it yesterday and theres tons of leftover ingredients. TIM Never had it. MEGAN Youve never had malva pudding? Well, young man, it was apparently Nelson Mandelas favourite desert. TIM Hmm. So let me get this straight, park ranger, research scientist, photographer, and chef? Whats next? MEGAN For the record, Im not a chef. I dont remember the last time I cooked. TIM I dont know about that, malva pudding sounds pretty fancy. Whats the recipe? MEGAN I dont have one of those, but I have watched Kamara make it a couple of times. And Im a decent student, so. May I? TIM Yes, well it looks good. MEGAN Okay. So, our moment of truth. TIM I like this. TIM Okay, dont mind if I do. MEGAN What do you think? TIM Malva pudding is officially my new favourite desert. MEGAN Yes! TIM Wow. MEGAN Maybe I should add chef to my resume. I dont know if its actually going to help me with my defence. TIM Dont underestimate yourself. Ive seen people be swayed by a delicious desert. MEGAN Speak for yourself. Hey, Im going to head into the village tomorrow with Kamara. Do you want to come? TIM Yeah, Id love to take a break. MEGAN Uh, Darius is coming too. If you wanted, you can invite Amy. TIM I think she has a day at the spa tomorrow. MEGAN Okay. KAMARA Hi! MEGAN Hi! KAMARA And this is my Mum and my sister, Annika. MOM Hi! TIM Nice to meet you. KAMARA So my mum has a store in Johannesburg. She comes here once a week. All the profits from here go back to the village to supply clean water. TIM Oh. thats great. I love that, thats so nice. MOM Yes, thanks. TIM These are beautiful. What do you think? You like this? This my colour? MEGAN You know what, I think youre more of an autumn. TIM Let me see. MEGAN Oh, yes. TIM Yeah? MEGAN Its definitely your colour. Its so you. TIM Thank you very much. VENDOR Thanks. TIM Goodbye. MEGAN These are nice. TIM Yeah, my moms gonna love them. She, uh-- MOM Goodbye! TIM She makes clothes for all her grandchildren. MEGAN Oh. TIM Do you have a big family? MEGAN No actually, Its just me and my mom. My parents spilt up when I was two. So she raised me on her own. TIM Really? MEGAN Yeah. TIM Was that difficult? MEGAN I mean, we didnt have a ton financially but she made up for it with more love than any kid could ever ask for, even though she was working two jobs to make ends meet. TIM You sound a lot like your mom. MEGAN She was really young when she had me, so she had to give up a lot to raise me, but she always made sure that I had the best, went to the best schools. TIM Is that why youre so determined? MEGAN Yeah, I want her to be proud of who Ive become. TIM Im sure she is. How could she not be. Where is she now? MEGAN She actually has an apartment by mine at the university. After I got my undergrad, she went to college and got a degree in nursing. TIM Thats incredible. MEGAN Yeah. Yeah, she even found new love. Its about time she had some real happiness in her life. Its why I would never want to do anything to disappoint her. TIM Hold on, do I hear a tiny bit of you being a perfectionist creep back in? Is that what I hear here? MEGAN No! Me? That is so yesterday. TIM I, uh-- I got you a little something. MEGAN Really? TIM Yeah. MEGAN I got you something. TIM Really? All right., um-- MEGAN On three? TIM On three. MEGAN One, two, three! No! TIM What! MEGAN The same one? Which hand would you like yours on? TIM Put it on this one here. MEGAN Okay. TIM Thank you. There you go. MEGAN Thank you. I love it. TIM I love mine. DARIUS Oh man, I got some really awesome footage today. Im going to ahead and start download this, yeah? KAMARA Do you want some company? DARIUS Id love some company. Come on. MEGAN Well, looks like weve been ditched. AMY Hey. MEGAN Hey. AMY Hope you guys had a good day. TIM Yeah, it was great. MEGAN Yeah. AMY Oh, I love your bracelet. MEGAN Oh, thank you. Yeah, um, Tim actually got it for me today. TIM And Megan actually got me the same one. MEGAN Yeah. AMY What are the chances? MEGAN You know what, I should get this stuff back to my room, but were still on for the drive tomorrow? TIM Yes we are. MEGAN Okay, bye. AMY Bye. Im glad youre back. It can get kinda boring around here. TIM Yeah, I guess so. AMY Yeah. Hey, so I would love to talk with you about something important. TIM Okay. AMY Yeah, so why dont we grab dinner, maybe a glass of champagne. We might have something big to celebrate. TIM Yeah, Im a little tired, could we just grab a coffee? AMY Yeah, coffee, good. Coffee it is. TIM Right now? AMY Yeah. Yeah, sure. TIM Okay. MEGAN Did you get everything downloaded? Whats wrong? KAMARA Darius needs to tell you something. MEGAN Okay. DARIUS Megan, I feel really ashamed of myself and Im so sorry. MEGAN Sorry about what? DARIUS Im the one who flew the drone. MEGAN What? I dont understand. DARIUS I made a really stupid mistake. The thing is, I was chatting with Amy and she said shed really like some aerial shots and seeing that shes now my new boss, I figured Id at least try to get her a few. Look, I really hope I didnt harm your reputation. Ill tell Mom Nozi right away. MEGAN No, Darius, its okay. I appreciate your honesty more than anything. I just dont really understand why Amy would have asked you to do that. DARIUS She didnt exactly ask me. She just said shed like some shots. And so I took it upon myself to get them. In retrospect, it was a really stupid idea. MEGAN Have you told Tim? DARIUS No. Please dont say anything to Tim or Amy. MEGAN I wont, but I do think you should tell him yourself. I really think hell understand. AMY How would you feel about taking on more responsibility with the company? TIM What do you mean? AMY I need a business partner and youre the best in the industry. And Daddy and I would just love to have you on the team. TIM Well, thank you. But what would that entail? AMY Um, overseeing all the new projects. A step up the ladder. A big raise. TIM Does that mean Ill be on the road more or stationed at head office? AMY Oh no, youd be working more directly with me. And of course, a vice president position down the road if it all works out. TIM What about my team at Colvin Designs? AMY Oh no, I already have my own people. MEGAN Im so sorry, I got a call saying they were here. TIM Well, I could think of worse places to be. MEGAN I think I might come out again tomorrow afternoon to see if I can spot them, If you want to come? TIM Count me in. I forgot to tell you, I have to do a quick trip to Johannesburg tomorrow to pick up some equipment. MEGAN Oh, okay. Oh, do you think you could pick up a thumb drive for me? TIM Yeah, of course, but why dont you come with me? We could leave early, get back just after lunch. MEGAN Yeah. Okay, yeah. Yeah, that would be fun. Oh my gosh... Finally. Arent they beautiful. TIM Yeah, theyre just right here. How did we miss them? MEGAN I think this might be the best day of my life. TIM Hi, Tim Erickson. There was a delivery that was made for me? CONCIERGE Yes, Mr. Erickson. Would you like us to bring the packages to your vehicle right now? TIM Yeah, thatd be great, please. CONCIERGE No problem. TIM Thank you. You hungry? I made a reservation at Aduna here. MEGAN Im hungry. MEGAN Thank you so much. TIM Thank you. MEGAN Oh, I keep forgetting to ask you about your design. Have you done more work on it? TIM Im getting a lot of great ideas, which is why I came here. MEGAN Good, guess you must be getting down to the wire. TIM One week left. Its going to be kind of a jolt to leave here and not see you every day. MEGAN Mmm, you never know. It might be a refreshing change of pace. TIM No. No, Im going miss this place. And Im going to miss you. MEGAN Im gonna miss you too. Its been really nice having you here. TIM What if when we leave here I come visit you? And we can go out on a real date. MEGAN Tim. I dont want to get my heart broken again. And once you leave, I just dont see how we could make something work. TIM How will we know if we dont try? MEGAN Long distance relationships are hard. Trust me. Can we just try to enjoy the time we have left? TIM We got a flight to catch. Why dont we go back and try to find those white lions? MEGAN Yeah. Okay. MEGAN I cannot tell you how happy I am youre getting to see them again. TIM This is so special. MEGAN Yeah. TIM I cant believe I get to experience this with you. MEGAN Me too. TIM Oh no, dont go, dont go. MEGAN Okay, I think its about that time. TIM What time? MEGAN Time for a sundowner. TIM A sundowner? MEGAN Have you never had one? TIM No... MEGAN Okay, well its tradition her and you have to have at least one to have a true South African safari. TIM Okay. Lets go. TIM This is unbelievable. I dont want it to end. MEGAN Yeah, its pretty magical, isnt it? Do you think youre going to be spending a lot of time in New York when you get back? TIM More than I planned. Amy offered me partnership. MEGAN Wow. Thats a generous offer. TIM Its a great opportunity, but Ill be doing a lot less design work and more administration to help build out the company. MEGAN Do you think thatll make you happy? TIM I dont know. MEGAN So where does that leave you and Amy? TIM Well, I guess well be working out of head office a lot more. MEGAN Do you think thats gonna be easy to do? With your history. TIM Yeah, I think so. The boundaries are clear. The past is the past. MEGAN Do you think itll be easy for her? TIM I dont see why not. Why would you ask? MEGAN Just a feeling. TIM Yeah, that sundowner last night was really incredible. DARIUS Um, hey, Tim? TIM Yeah? DARIUS Look, man, Im just gonna cut to the chase. Theres something I need to tell you. TIM Okay. DARIUS Its about the drone. Im the one who flew it. TIM What? DARIUS Im really sorry, man. TIM Uh, why didnt you admit it? DARIUS Well, I didnt want to lose my job. TIM Why would you ever worry about that? Wait a second, did Amy put you up to this? DARIUS No, Im not blaming Amy for anything. She didnt ask me. She just said shed like some footage and so I foolishly went ahead and did it... on my own. MEGAN Tim, Darius has taken full responsibility for this. He told us the truth and hes told Mom Nozi the truth. KAMARA No, no, wait. But what about Amy? Shes responsible for all of this. DARIUS No, Kamara, I one hundred percent take responsibility for this, okay? TIM Im gonna straighten this out with Amy. If thats okay. DARIUS What if she fires me? TIM Youll always have a job with me, no matter where I am. DARIUS Thanks. TIM Thanks for telling me. TIM Hey. AMY Oh, best view I ever had. Hey, maybe we can do a-- like, a satellite office over here. What do you think? We could work here during the winter. TIM We need to talk. I just spoke to Darius and he told me what happened. AMY Oh my gosh, did something happen? TIM Come on, Amy, dont play this game. You know whats going on. AMY Im sorry, I honestly dont. TIM The drone? AMY Yeah? TIM Yeah? AMY Oh, Im sorry, you dont think I had something to do with that, do you? TIM You didnt tell Darius you needed some aerial shots? AMY I told everybody. I told you, Megan, Darius, everyone. Guess he misinterpreted what I said. TIM Did you ever consider what this could have done to Megan? She could have lost her license and missed out on the opportunity to finish her research. AMY I wouldnt worry about her too much. She can take care of herself. TIM Oh, come on, Amy. You know what? Im done with this. Im done with the way you treat people and pretend like youre innocent when you know full well youve done something wrong. AMY The only reason I came here was because of our friendship. Because I wanted to offer you an opportunity to build your career. TIM I dont need you to bolster my career. And honestly, I dont know if I could ever work with you again. Not after this. TIM Good morning. MEGAN Hey. TIM Hey. Well, I talked with Amy last night. MEGAN Yeah? TIM And it didnt go too well. I quit my job. MEGAN Tim, are you sure thats what you want to do? TIM Yeah, its the right move. MEGAN I mean, what about your design? Youve worked so hard on it. TIM I know. MEGAN So what are you going to do? TIM I have to go back tomorrow. Amy left this morning, but I need to get back and talk to my old boss, Jim, at Colvin Designs and see if we can figure something out. MEGAN Im really sorry this happened. I know how important this job was to you. TIM It was, but you know, Im glad it happened. It made me remember the type of person Amy was before I started to work with her. MEGAN Well, Im sure something good will come from this. I mean, youre smart, youre talented, youre creative. TIM Thank you for believing in me. MEGAN Of course I believe in you. Youre an amazing, person. And you even taught me that I dont need to take everything so seriously all the time. Thats not an easy task. TIM Can I see you again before I go? Maybe do dinner tonight. MEGAN Yeah. I would like that. TIM These past two weeks, theyve gone by so fast. MEGAN Yeah, they have. TIM This has been one of the most phenomenal experiences of my life. MEGAN For me too. TIM We dont have to say good-bye. This doesnt have to be the end. MEGAN Tim, I just dont see how a future for us could work. TIM I know all the odds are against us. I dont want this to be over. MEGAN Me neither, but you have a life to get back to and you have to figure out what youre going to do and I dont want to be the person that stands in the way of that. TIM I dont want to be the person that gets in the way of you either. Youve worked your entire life for what you have. MEGAN Exactly. Our lives, theyre just too different. TIM But theyre not. MEGAN We cant both live our dreams if were together. TIM What if we can? MEGAN If there was a way to make this work, I would want to. But I just dont see how its possible. TIM Will I see you tomorrow before I leave? MEGAN I dont know if I can say good-bye to you. TIM Then dont. MEGAN Im sorry. NOZIZWE Lets see if we can get this right now. Oh, its been so great having you here. TIM Thank you for everything. NOZIZWE Travel safe. TIM Yes. NOZIZWE Darius, (indistinct) TIM Bye. MEGAN Hey. KAMARA I was surprised you didnt come to say good-bye to Tim this morning. MEGAN I couldnt do it. Whatever we had, its over. I just need to focus on getting back to work. KAMARA Is it really over though? MEGAN It has to be. KAMARA No, it doesnt, Megan. You can always make a different choice. I mean, Darius and I did. MEGAN And Im really happy for you. Whats your plan? KAMARA Well, Darius is thinking of moving back to South Africa. Theres still a lot to figure out, but were gonna work on it together. You and Tim can do that too. MEGAN No, were just on really different paths. And I have to accept that. KAMARA Do you love him? MEGAN I dont know. I dont know, but hes the first person Ive ever considered changing my life for. And that scares me. NOZIZWE Hey, Megan. MEGAN Hey. NOZIZWE Tim left this here for you this morning. He didnt want to leave you behind, you know. MEGAN I didnt want to see him go. NOZIZWE I hope you can find a way back to each other. Love doesnt come along very often. MEGAN I know. NOZIZWE Follow your heart. It will take you where you need to be. And this is confirmation that the complaint against you has been withdrawn. Your rangers license is still in good standing. MEGAN Thats a relief. NOZIZWE Im so sorry, this shouldnt have happened in the first place. MEGAN No, its okay. I mean, theres a lesson to be learned in everything, right? This taught me not to jump to conclusions, and to trust people like you who have my back. NOZIZWE Always. TIM Thanks for all the memories. I left the footage from the leopard and the white lion sightings. I hope itll help you dazzle your thesis defence. And if you see the white lions again, Id love to see the pictures. MEGAN Okay. MEGAN I love you so much. KAMARA I love you. MEGAN I love you too. NOZIZWE Okay, my turn. Were all going to miss you. MEGAN Thank you both so much for everything. Ill be back, I promise. NOZIZWE You better. MEGAN Okay. Thanks, Josh. MEGAN Yeah. MEGAN Ill be right there. MEGAN Kamara! Oh my gosh! What are you doing here? KAMARA Oh, Im visiting Darius for a couple of weeks and I wanted to come and surprise you. MEGAN Well, this is an amazing surprise. KAMARA Oh, do you have a couple of hours to spare? MEGAN Yeah, why? KAMARA Well, Darius is working on a short film project and he asked me to come and see it. Do you wanna tag along? MEGAN Yes, I would love to. I just have to grab my purse. Come on. KAMARA Okay. MEGAN Ill show you my office. KAMARA Yeah. MEGAN I cant believe youre here! MEGAN Uh, Kamara, are you sure were in the right place? KAMARA Positive. Let me grab Darius. MEGAN Okay. TIM Im happy you made it. MEGAN Tim? TIM I missed you, Megan. MEGAN Yeah, Ive missed you too. TIM You know there hasnt been a second in the day that youre werent on my mind. Can I show you something? MEGAN Okay... TIM Remember how you said you wanted something spectacular to impress the committee for your thesis presentation? MEGAN Yeah... TIM Well... MEGAN Um, yeah, I mean, its a little low key, but-- TIM Wait, one minute. MEGAN Wow. Its beautiful. Its like were back there. TIM The more I thought about what I wanted the attraction to be, the more I realized it needed to feel real. MEGAN It does. TIM Thanks to you. Youre the one that inspired all of this. MEGAN Its perfect. I love it. Oh, what happened with your job? TIM I talked to my old boss, Jim. This project had been in development long before Amy came around. I was the one that originally thought of this, so Jim and I, we ran with it. And we started our own company and hired all the employees that were let go of by Amy. MEGAN Thats incredible. Im really happy for you. TIM And the best part is that Chipperfield, the company that I originally pitched my concept to, they bought it. And they gave us a contract to create more. MEGAN All your hard work paid off. TIM I want this company to become our dream. MEGAN What do you mean? TIM They want more immersive experiences from exotic locations in the wilderness. I can work anywhere. I can travel with you and while youre doing your research, I can do my designs from wherever we are in the world. MEGAN Are you sure thats something you would want? TIM I have never been more sure about anything. The time I spent with you in South Africa was the happiest time of my life. MEGAN Mine too. I was maybe just a little miserable after you left. TIM Ill go anywhere and do anything for you, Megan. I love you with all of my heart. Please say youll take this chance with me and make this dream our reality. MEGAN You know, no ones ever been willing to make their dreams fit with mine. Ill do whatever it takes to make this work. I love you too. TIM I told Darius I didnt want fireworks. MEGAN Hey, you can never go wrong with fireworks. MEGAN And this is why we must make every effort to save these incredible creatures. Id like to dedicate my thesis defence. today to my mom. MEGAN Hey. TIM Hey. MEGAN Hey. TIM Congratulations, Dr. Henry. Im proud of you. MEGAN Thank you.
