ABIGAIL ANNIE BRANDON BRYCE CASSIE CORINNE DANIEL ELLA FRIEND GEENA GEORGE GRACE JUSTIN KARA MARTHA NARRATOR NICK SAM STEPHANIE TARA NARRATOR Previously on "Good Witch". GRACE Maybe Nick and I have just kind of moved on. NICK And Grace isn't someone I get along with anymore. GRACE So I guess he and I are sort of done. MARTHA Abigail, you're just bursting with good ideas. Almost like Cassie herself. ABIGAIL It's like you and I traded places. CASSIE Sorta looks like it. SAM I am going to look at a lake house. NICK You wanna buy a lake house. SAM Yeah, I thought it would be fun to have a vacation place for the weekends. CASSIE When I was little, we spent summers at a cottage on a lake. Some of the best family memories I have. CASSIE Who are you talking to? GRACE Uh, Noah. CASSIE Yeah. How's he doing? GRACE Smiley face. SAM Oh, hello there. CASSIE Oh. SAM I thought you'd be at Grey House. CASSIE Yeah, my guests had to leave early so I decided I'd let someone else make the tea this morning. Ooo, those muffins look amazing. SAM What can I get you? NICK Nothing. I think I'm just going to head to school. CASSIE Oh. Grace is headed that way, too. SAM Yeah, you guys should walk together. GRACE Oh. Yup. Yes, great. CASSIE Yeah? GRACE Okay. CASSIE Have a real nice day. GRACE Thanks. Bye. Oh. Mayor Tinsdale. MARTHA Hello dear. It's so wonderful to see your children getting along so well. SAM Yeah, they really do seem like they are, don't they? MARTHA You two will have no trouble blending your family when the time comes to put it in a blender. By the way -when is that time coming? CASSIE We haven't decided on a date. SAM But you'll be the first to know. Or, second. Top ten. MARTHA Well, if you want me to sing at the ceremony, let me know so I can get my contralto back into shape. Oh, yoo-woo! SAM Our kids are going to have to start getting along for real if we ever hope to make this work. CASSIE Yeah. I never thought this feud would last so long. SAM Maybe the four of us should spend some extra time together. CASSIE As a family? SAM Well, it's going to happen, eventually. What if we go up to the lake house this weekend? CASSIE Oh, I would love that. SAM There's room for all of us and living in the same house Nick and Grace would have to figure out how to get along. CASSIE Yeah, it would be nice to spend some time together as a family. SAM Yeah. What are you drinking? CASSIE Green tea with honey and almond milk. SAM Which is exactly why you'll never hear me say, "I'll have what she's having." CASSIE Is that all you're taking? GRACE I think so. GRACE Clothing, toothbrush, charger and a phone. Everything a girl needs. CASSIE Well, I was hoping that we might be able to unplug a little this weekend. GRACE You're not bringing your phone? CASSIE No, I am. I'm just hope I never have to turn it on. GRACE Well, then, it's a good thing that mine never goes off. ABIGAIL What time are the guests are arriving? CASSIE Right around noon. GRACE Wait, you're letting Abigail take care of the house? ABIGAIL I think I can handle a few people for two days and a night. CASSIE Yeah, it really shouldn't be any problem. They're just here signing some merger papers and they thought Grey House was the perfect place to do it. ABIGAIL Why did they pick here? CASSIE I never know why people come to this place. I just hope they leave here feeling the trip was worth it. ABIGAIL I will make sure that it is. CASSIE Okay. We'll be back tomorrow, some time after dinner. ABIGAIL Have fun. CASSIE Thank you. GRACE Thanks. Who's driving? CASSIE Sam. You and Nick can sit in the back seat and play the license plate game. GRACE We're not playing the license plate game. CASSIE I thought that's what kids did. GRACE Yeah, when we were six. CASSIE They grow up so fast. CASSIE I had forgotten how beautiful it is up here. SAM It is a great place to escape. GRACE Is there any wifi, anywhere? SAM Sometimes you have to walk around until you find it. CASSIE Or you could just talk to the people who are right here. GRACE Oh. I thought that's what the car ride was for. NICK What's that? SAM It's from the homeowner's association. Where's Turtle Point? NICK Uh, it's at the other end of the lake. SAM Well, apparently too many people have been hanging out there after hours so it's closed to the public. So we won't be going there. CASSIE I was hoping we could just stick around here, anyway. CASSIE I love what you've done in here. SAM Oh, thanks. You like it? CASSIE Yeah. SAM I've made some upgrades to the kitchen. And I got some new furniture. NICK Did you get cable yet? SAM Uh, next week. NICK So, what are we supposed to do until then? SAM Sit around wait for the cable guy? GRACE What's the wifi password. NICK Radford, upper case D, three-two nine, dollar sign, exclamation point. GRACE Seriously? NICK Nobody's guessed it yet. GRACE Okay, where do you want me to put my stuff? SAM I thought the girls would stay upstairs and the boys would stay downstairs. NICK Fine with me. I need to download an update for my phone. GRACE And I want to text Noah and let him know that we got here. CASSIE Well, let us know when you're done. I have some fun things for us to do while we're here. GRACE Uh-huh. SAM See? We almost spent a whole minute together. CASSIE Yeah, we're all under the same roof. SAM Which I also had redone, along with - Oh no. CASSIE What? SAM The new oven. They said that it'd be installed but it looks like it's not hooked up yet. CASSIE Oh. Well, I had some plans about what we might make for dinner but I guess we can just improvise. SAM I think I can get it working. CASSIE No, I don't want you to spend your whole time here being an electrician. SAM Nah, I don't mind. It's plugged in, I just think I need to go turn the circuit back on. It'll take me a minute. And then we'll all spend time together, as planned. CASSIE Okay. GRACE Nick? NICK Upper case D! CASSIE Did you get the oven working? SAM No. I checked the circuit but there's no power to the plug. I'll have to open up the electrical panel and see if I need to replace the breaker. CASSIE Careful. SAM Ah. I know enough about electricity not to work too much with electricity. CASSIE Okay. Does anybody want to check out the lake? GRACE We can see it from here. NICK Yeah. And I wanna set up this game too. GRACE Those controllers have wires. NICK Yeah. This is like the final resting ground for our old stuff. SAM At least I got us a new oven. NICK Does it play games? SAM No. NICK Then what's the point? This thing freezes up sometimes but - at least it's something we can do. CASSIE Maybe Grace wants to challenge you. GRACE Hmmm? Oh, I'm not really a gamer. GEENA Hello? CASSIE Hey. SAM Hey. Come on in. GEENA Well, we were wondering when this place would get some use. We bought the house next door and we have been waiting to meet our neighbors. SAM Oh. Sam Radford. GEENA Hi. SAM And this is Cassie, Grace, and Nick. GRACE Hi. GEENA Hi. I'm Geena, and this is Kara. SAM Do you get up here a lot? GEENA Pretty much every weekend. SAM Yeah. I wish we could do that too, but -- it's not always easy to have somebody cover my patients when we're away. GEENA Oh, you're a doctor? Don't worry; I won't tell you about the weird pain in my knee that comes and goes. CASSIE Cayenne pepper and olive oil are a great mixture to put on that. GEENA Oh. Maybe I'll try that. Anyway, my husband is grilling steaks, and we were wondering if you'd like to come over for dinner. CASSIE Oh. SAM Cayenne pepper and olive oil - good for those, too. CASSIE That sounds amazing. But we're only here for one night and we were hoping to spend some time together just the four of us. GEENA Okay, well maybe another time. CASSIE Next time we're up, for sure. GEENA Yeah. KARA How old is that game? NICK I'm pretty sure it's from back when Mario didn't even have a brother. CASSIE Thanks again for the invite. GEENA You're welcome. Enjoy your time with your family. KARA Bye. CASSIE We will. ABIGAIL Welcome to Grey House. ABIGAIL Cassie said you had to sign some papers while you were here? ANNIE It's a simple merger. BRYCE That's right. And so far it's been smooth sailing. The four of us are combining our companies and opening a new store in Chicago. ELLA We have a couple of active-wear shops in New York. BRYCE We have a few in L.A. DANIEL Yeah. ANNIE We've spent so much time in antiseptic board rooms but I like to bring clients to a more relaxing place when they sign the final documents. I actually grew up around here. ABIGAIL Really? ANNIE I used to think this place was haunted. ABIGAIL Don't worry, we've had the house tented for ghosts. Let me get you your room keys. And I hope your time here turns out to be magical. ANNIE All we'll need is a table and some places to sleep. ABIGAIL Right. GEORGE Hello. Welcome to Grey House. ABIGAIL Yeah, I did that part already. GEORGE Sorry. Can I help you with your bags? ABIGAIL Not yet. I don't know why Cassie put you in the rooms that she did. But I think you should be across the hall from you. And you will be neighbors with this guy. And you get the duchess suite. GEORGE You can check out your rooms. I'll bring your bags up afterwards. Cassie always spends a lot of time thinking about who should be in what room before they arrive. ABIGAIL Well, Cassie doesn't know everything. And she's not in charge this weekend. I am. CASSIE Oh, Did you get that oven working? SAM I did. CASSIE Great. Well, then, maybe we have time before dinner to do something together as a family. Like charades - boys versus girls? SAM Ah, I'm afraid they'll have to wait. Nick challenged me to a video game. CASSIE That's what you want to do while we're here? Play video games? SAM It's what he said he wanted to do. CASSIE Okay, then maybe we can do something together after dinner. SAM Yeah. If we can pry our kids away from their phones. CASSIE That could be a challenge. GRACE Hey. What's going on with the internet? NICK It's not working at all. SAM Maybe the router just needs to be re-booted since I had the power off. NICK Except I did that and it still doesn't work. CASSIE I'm sure the broadband gets spotty out here. GRACE When did you become an expert on the internet? CASSIE I know about a lot of things that might surprise you. NICK Well, my phone didn't finish the update and now it's stuck on the "please wait" screen. GRACE At least mine still working. If I can find a signal. CASSIE You might be able to get better reception down by the dock. GRACE Then that is where I'll be. NICK I got the game set up. Are you ready to play? SAM Let's do this. CASSIE Okay. Let me know when you two are done. SAM I will. Shouldn't be too long. TARA Thanks. And enjoy. BRANDON Hey. How's it going? TARA It's really busy. BRANDON Yeah. TARA Cassie thought it'd be a slow weekend because of the craft fair in Blairsville but that was cancelled because of a sinkhole. BRANDON Well, one more reason never to go to Blairsville. TARA Yeah. But it looks like everyone decided to come here, instead. BRANDON Do you want me to help out? TARA That'd be good, actually. BRANDON Sure. TARA And there's your first customer. MARTHA Oh, hello Brandon. Where's Cassie? BRANDON Not here. Can I help you? MARTHA Well, I don't know how. I have this slight pain right here. Oh, no, wait, actually now it's over here. Well, wherever it is, Cassie always seems to know exactly what I need to cure what ails me. BRANDON You should try some spearmint tea. MARTHA Now, how on earth would you know something like that? BRANDON Well, I lived with Cassie when she was married to my dad. MARTHA Of course, you're family. BRANDON I can go fill you up a bag if you want to keep shopping. MARTHA Well, I am a bit of a browser. Oh. TARA I know. That's weird, huh? MARTHA Well, I just don't know what you'd use all of these spaces for. TARA As near as I can tell, that thing was made to hold shampoo bottles and I don't know, shoelaces? MARTHA Hmm. TARA Cassie's had that box sitting here forever. But nobody wants it. MARTHA And neither do I. Oh, look there's Brandon with my bag of tea. And you know what? I'm feeling better already! GRACE I thought you were playing games with your dad. NICK We were. But it got kind of embarrassing, I was beating him so much, so I'm giving him time to practice until it's a fair fight. GRACE Well, I don't have any reception so - Noah probably thinks that I died, or something. KARA Is your internet out, too? NICK Kara. Yeah. KARA Yeah, it barely works for a few hours at a time. It's like living in the dark ages out here. GRACE I don't know how anyone survives. KARA Yeah, we have to find a couple different things to do. Like, a few of us are going over to Turtle Point in a bit. Do you guys want to come? NICK I thought that place was closed. KARA Yeah, which is perfect, cuz that means we'll be the only ones there. GRACE I don't know. I think mom wants us here for dinner and to play some games after. NICK We could probably make it back in time. KARA We can take our boat, if either of you want to go. In a half hour? NICK Maybe, sure. KARA Okay. Great. GRACE Ooh, I got a bar! NICK Say hi to Noah from me. GRACE What, no. You tell him. NICK Except my phone's still updating. Here, just. GRACE Nick, give it back. NICK Grace - GRACE Nick, it's my phone! NICK It's only for a second! GRACE Let go! NICK Oops. ANNIE I assume everyone had a chance to peruse the agreement? It's all pretty basic but I should explain the final changes to the deal points before you sign. ABIGAIL Just in case you're still in here this evening, I hope none of you are bothered by the noise. ELLA What noise? ABIGAIL There's "Jazz in the Park" down the street. So you might hear the music when it starts up. CORINNE That's not a bother. I love jazz. DANIEL Oh. Me, too. ABIGAIL Really? What a coincidence. BRYCE And I don't want to be stuck here for too long, anyway. I'd at least like to experience something of what this town has to offer. ABIGAIL Well, I hope you get out. Because there's lots here in Middleton that I'm sure you're going to love. CASSIE Okay. Dinner is here. SAM Hey. CASSIE Oh. You guys still at it? SAM Yeah. Nick wanted to do a tournament. CASSIE Where's Grace? NICK Mostly thinking up new ways she can be mad at me. SAM Nick threw her phone in the lake. NICK I was reaching for it. And I said I was sorry, like, eight times. SAM Ninth time's the charm. CASSIE Well, I could use some help in the kitchen, if anybody wants to. SAM Um. I can give you a hand. NICK Except we're in the middle of a game. SAM Just give me a minute to finish this off. CASSIE Sure. How long is that gonna take? SAM I don't know. What level are we on? NICK Four. SAM How many are there? NICK Seventeen. SAM Um. I'll look for a shortcut. CASSIE Just let me know when you're ready. NICK No, no, no, no! It froze up. It always freezes up! SAM Well, you were pretty far ahead, so I'll give that round to you. NICK Maybe I can reset it. SAM No, you remember last time we had to wait a couple hours for the unit to cool down, so it gives me time to help Cassie in the kitchen. What do you need done first? CASSIE Well, you can pre-heat the oven. Three-seventy-five. SAM Three-seventy-five. CASSIE Yup. SAM So, what do we do while it heats up? CASSIE I might just stand here, look at the view. SAM Yeah, the lake's nice, isn't it? CASSIE I wasn't talking about that. BRANDON If you feel a cold coming on, this stuff can make it not nearly as bad. Plus, it's great in guacamole. Have a good one. TARA I should be paying you a commission. You'd make a fortune. BRANDON Come on. You've made a lot of sales. TARA Not as many as you. Oh, did a package get delivered? BRANDON I didn't see one. TARA Huh. I got an e-mail notification that they were supposed to get some tape for the cash register - which Cassie will need Monday morning because we've gone through so much of it today. BRANDON I'm sure it'll get here before closing. TARA Yeah, I hope so. Can I help you? MARTHA Oh, I'm sure you can dear, but actually I brought my friend here to see Brandon. Cassie raised him as a teen so he knows all her secrets. FRIEND Martha tells me he'll know exactly what I need for my sore feet. MARTHA Oh, yoo-woo, Brandon? Now, after what he gives you, you'll feel like you're walking on air! Excuse me, dear. CASSIE Hey. Is the oven all set? SAM It should be. That's weird. It should be a lot hotter than that by now. I hope they remembered to calibrate it when it was installed it. Except without the circuit on they didn't do that at all. CASSIE Yeah, well, is there a manual that we could use to set it? SAM I didn't see one. But I can go online and find one. Except the internet is. CASSIE Is down. SAM Yes. Well, I guess your big dinner plans will have to change. CASSIE We can make some adjustments. Did you get everything out of that bag? SAM Yeah. I think so. CASSIE Yeah, are you sure? SAM Hot dogs. CASSIE And look at that - buns. You know, I saw some pretty good sticks out there, and a fire pit we could roast everything over. SAM Then I'm the man to start your fire. NICK What are you doing? GRACE What is there to do? NICK Well, I'm going to Turtle Point, with Kara. GRACE That place is closed. NICK I don't think you can actually put a locked door on the water, so. GRACE Okay. What am I supposed to tell our parents when they ask where you went? NICK Tell them it's not your job to keep track of me. GRACE Nick - NICK Grace, we're at the lake. Enjoying nature. Try doing something you've never done before: relax. ABIGAIL Oh, are you all finished? ELLA Just about. Annie's inputting the final revisions we made today and printing off our agreement. ABIGAIL Um, if you two are looking to wind down, I happened to make a reservation - dinner for two at the Bistro. BRYCE I could use something to eat. ABIGAIL I just thought you might want some private, business time. Or non- business, either way. ELLA That actually sounds good. ABIGAIL I'll get you a car. ELLA Thanks. ABIGAIL And I think I heard them starting to tune up for Jazz in the Park. You could walk over there, if you wanted to hear it for yourselves. DANIEL Oh. That's perfect. CORINNE I'd like to hear it. Let me get my jacket and I'll go with. DANIEL Yeah. ABIGAIL Oh, you won't be needing a jacket. I think it's going to be a really nice night. DANIEL Oh. CORINNE Okay. Thanks. DANIEL Yeah. After you. ABIGAIL Have fun. KARA Look at this - we've got the whole place to ourselves! NICK Yeah, it's great. How come they closed it down? KARA Because they kept having to chase us off after hours. So they decided to punish everyone else. Which doesn't really seem fair, but. It makes it easier for us to be the only ones here. NICK Yeah. It is pretty private. JUSTIN Kara? KARA Justin? I wasn't sure he was going to meet us here. NICK Who's Justin? KARA Oh. My boyfriend. Hey. JUSTIN Hey you. KARA How are you? JUSTIN Good. How are you doing? KARA Good. I'm having a good weekend. JUSTIN Yeah, me too. STEPHANIE Here you go. Sirloin steak, medium rare, ELLA Thank you. STEPHANIE And - Vegetable risotto. BRYCE Thank you. STEPHANIE Now, make sure and save room for one of my special desserts. Abigail tells me you're celebrating. BRYCE Yeah, a little bit. STEPHANIE Is it your anniversary? ELLA Oh. BRYCE No. ELLA We're here on business. STEPHANIE Oh. Well, she wanted me to make sure that you had a private table. BRYCE For business. ELLA Yeah. STEPHANIE Okay. Well - enjoy each other, either way! ELLA This looks delicious. Do you want a bite? BRYCE No, thanks. I'm a vegetarian. ELLA Oh, really, I didn't know. BRYCE Really? ELLA What? BRYCE I mean, we've eaten together I don't know how many times while we were working out this deal. ELLA I don't really think about what other people eat. BRYCE I just though that's something a person would notice. ELLA Oh, right, because I'm the one who doesn't pay attention? BRYCE What is that supposed to mean? ELLA Just never mind. ABIGAIL Hi. Well, it looks like the two of you are getting along well. ELLA Does it? ABIGAIL I just wanted to stop by and that you know I reserved a tennis court for the two of you, for tomorrow. BRYCE Yeah. I might be up for that. ELLA I don't play. ABIGAIL You don't? But you wear that tennis pendant. ELLA It was a gift from Bryce. I figured I should wear it to be nice to him. But you'd think that someone you were getting to know and going into business with would get to know you enough to ask if they played tennis, but you never asked and I don't. ABIGAIL So, I can cancel the tennis court for tomorrow. ELLA Yeah, you should do that. BRYCE Yeah. ABIGAIL How do you feel about croquet? Cassie has a really nice set. BRANDON You know, closing time was supposed to be ten minutes ago. TARA I know, but I'm still waiting for the package. The website says "Out for delivery" and I don't want to leave until it gets here. BRANDON Do you want to put the closed sign out until it does? TARA Might as well leave the place open. BRANDON Yeah, maybe you'll make another sale. TARA Yeah. CASSIE Oh. Wow. SAM Hey. CASSIE Nice. SAM Just in time. I got the fire going, and perfectly calibrated to "hot and flaming." CASSIE Oh, we can start cooking then. SAM And I got us ready for that, too. CASSIE Oh, you know, if I'm ever stuck out in the woods, I wanna be with you. SAM As long as we have hot dogs, we can live forever. GEENA Doctor Radford. Sorry to bother you. SAM Yeah? GEENA My husband needs a doctor. He tripped going down the stairs and he really twisted up his leg. SAM Well, I can take a look. GEENA Okay, that would be great. Sorry. CASSIE No problem. SAM Just save me something to eat. CASSIE Of course. GRACE I hope he's okay. CASSIE Well, he's in good hands. I guess we're gonna have to postpone our family dinner. GRACE Yeah. CASSIE Well, maybe Nick will be back in time to eat. Do you have any idea where he went? GRACE No. CASSIE Well, in case we don't get to it tonight, I guess we can always have breakfast together in the morning. Maybe French toast and omelettes? GRACE I was thinking, maybe, some sort of sugared cereal might be fun. With, like, marshmallows in it? CASSIE Yeah. If that's what you want. GRACE Yeah. Can I go to the store right now? CASSIE Oh, uh, yeah. Sam said we could use his car, as long as you're careful. GRACE Yeah. Of course I will be. CASSIE Okay. The keys are inside, on the counter. GRACE Great. I'll be back soon. ABIGAIL Corinne? I thought you went to Jazz in the Park with Daniel? CORINNE We never made it there. I started talking about Charlie Parker and John Coltrane and he hadn't heard of either of them. I can't go out with a guy that doesn't know music. GEORGE So, that date didn't work out either? Bryce and Ella beat you home and retreated into their opposite corners. ABIGAIL Well, that just means I haven't found the right combination yet. So it's a good thing that the night is young, and that the person in charge of Grey House is me. NICK Where are you going? KARA Justin was supposed to bring food. JUSTIN I thought you said you were bringing stuff. KARA No, I don't think I did. NICK Well, maybe you guys can drop me off at my place. JUSTIN So now we're Uber on the lake? We'll get food, we'll bring it back, and then we'll take him home. NICK So you're just leaving me here? JUSTIN Blame Kara for not bringing enough life jackets. KARA We'll come back in a bit. JUSTIN And if we don't -There's a road about a ten minute walk that way. Perfect. Or is it that way? I never know where I came from, even if I'm walking or riding in a boat. ABIGAIL It sounds like Annie and Bryce are making beautiful music together. ELLA Yeah, they seem to have really hit it off. ABIGAIL And I saw you and Daniel working on a puzzle. ELLA Until he told me he needed to get to bed. ABIGAIL It's not even eight-thirty. ELLA He said he doesn't really do nights. Um, I kind of want to go for a walk. How far is it to downtown? ABIGAIL Not far. But I don't think anything's open down there. ELLA At least it's some place to go. ELLA Hello? TARA Hello. ELLA Are you open? TARA Yes, we are, come in. And you have the whole place to yourself. ELLA This place is so nice. BRANDON If you have any questions about anything, just ask my wife. ELLA Where did you get this? TARA Oh, Cassie - that's the owner - she brought that in but she never said where it was from. ELLA I used to have one exactly like this when I was a little girl. BRANDON Really? What was it used for? ELLA Well, I used to put my dolls' clothes in here. See, the little shoes would go in right here, and the pants and the shirt and then the dresses could be laid out right there. TARA Dolls' clothes would fit perfectly in there. ELLA And there used to be a painting of a dressmaker on top here. You can just barely see it. TARA So that's what that is. ELLA I used to stare at that painting and think - maybe some day I could do that. That's how I got into clothing design. Is this for sale? TARA Of course. Yes. ELLA Then I'll take it. BRANDON Look at that? One more sale. MARTHA Is everything all right? I saw the light on and wondered why the shop was open so late. TARA We were waiting for a delivery. MARTHA Oh, is this it? It was right outside the front door. BRANDON Now, why wouldn't they just bring it in? MARTHA Well, the label says "Owner instructs - leave at door." So, I guess Cassie just wanted it dropped off. I suppose you could have closed up hours ago. ELLA Well, I'm glad that you didn't. BRANDON Thank you. Tara can ring that up for you. TARA Yes I can. MARTHA Are you buying the mystery box? ELLA Yes. MARTHA So what is it for? ELLA Well, it's actually for dolls' clothes. MARTHA Oh. NICK Grace? What are you doing here? GRACE I'm pretty sure I'm rescuing you. NICK How did you find me? GRACE I used a map. There's a path back there that leads to a road. NICK I went out looking for that but couldn't see where anything was. I decided it would be better just to come back here. GRACE Well, it's a good thing that you did. Come on. You need to get home. NICK I can't even imagine the trouble I'm in. ANNIE It's supposed to be an equal split, Bryce. Five ways. BRYCE It can still be equal. But somebody has to be in charge. ELLA Wait, what's going on? ABIGAIL Yeah, I thought you guys were making music. ANNIE Bryce wanted to know if I could change some wording in the contract after it was already approved. BRYCE It was just a small thing. ANNIE Which would have allowed for non- unanimous control. ELLA But that's not what we agreed to. BRYCE So, we change the agreement. ANNIE Which would require an entire redrafting. ELLA And that would leave us vulnerable to separate factions, which is what we wanted to avoid. BRYCE No, that's what you wanted to avoid. ABIGAIL Okay. I'm sure you can work this out. I mean, nothing's even been signed yet. ELLA That's a good point. This agreement doesn't mean anything. ABIGAIL No, I mean, it means something. BRYCE But it hasn't been signed yet, which means it easy to cancel the whole thing. Inform the partners I'm out. ABIGAIL What does that mean? BRYCE It means the merger is off. ABIGAIL But I welcomed all of you to Grey House. NICK Thanks for coming to get me. GRACE Well, I couldn't just leave you there. NICK You could have, but. GRACE I mean I would never. NICK So, why didn't you? GRACE Because we're going to be family soon. And we've known each other since we were kids. NICK I think fifteen years olds are actually considered "late adolescents." GRACE You know what I mean. Look, I don't care how much of an idiot you've been, I couldn't just abandon you somewhere. Because you would have done the same for me. NICK I would have? Yeah, I would have, you're right. So, are our parents in there? GRACE Pretty sure. NICK Then I guess I better get this over with. GRACE What? NICK You're just going to tell them where I was, so I might as well do it first. GRACE I wasn't going to say anything. NICK You weren't? GRACE What's there to tell? All I did was go and get some cereal. Ready? SAM Well, hello. GRACE Hi. CASSIE Where have you been? GRACE Uh To the store. CASSIE Oh. NICK And I got turned around and I couldn't figure out where I was until Grace found me. SAM Well, that was lucky. NICK Yeah. Um Right place, right time, I guess. GRACE Yeah. CASSIE Is that all? GRACE Yeah. Oh, uh, I think that's it. SAM Okay, then. NICK I'm going to get ready for bed. CASSIE Yeah. GRACE Yeah, I'm probably gonna just do the same. Night, guys. CASSIE I'll be up in a bit. SAM So, what do we do about that? CASSIE I don't know. But it looks like they're getting along again. SAM Partners in crime. CASSIE Except I trust Grace to make the right choices. SAM And Nick never does anything as stupid as what I used to do. I grew out of that phase. CASSIE Oh. SAM Several phases. So, we just let them think they got away with something? CASSIE Like brothers and sisters do. CASSIE Oh, sorry. SAM Good morning. CASSIE I didn't realise anyone was in here. SAM It's okay. There's room for two. CASSIE Oh, okay. SAM Is that supposed to be soap? CASSIE Yeah, it's all-natural. Made of coconut oil, almond butter, and grapefruit seed extract. SAM You going to eat it, or wash your face with it? CASSIE You can do both. You want a bite? SAM Um, that's okay, I'll just have cereal, thanks. NICK Where are all the marshmallows? GRACE Oh, I ate most of them out of the box before you got up. NICK But that's the best part. GRACE So, then you got to get up early. So good. ABIGAIL Thanks for letting me bring them here. I sort of forgot that one of the Bs in "B and B" stood for "breakfast." STEPHANIE It's no problem. Although none of them look like they had a very good time. ABIGAIL I know. You know that thing about Grey House being the perfect place for romance? That's just not true. ELLA I have something I need to say. BRYCE Okay? ELLA When I first started designing activewear I was never really that excited about it. It was just something I did, and then I opened a store, and then another, and now here we are looking at who knows how many. But last night I found something that reminded me why I started designing clothes in the first place. And who I wanted to design them for. CORINNE Who's that? ELLA Kids. I wanted to design children's clothing ever since I can remember. DANIEL So, you want us to open a children's store? ELLA No, no, but that's what I'm going to do. On my own. ANNIE You're pulling out of the deal? ELLA That deal is dead, Annie. BRYCE It doesn't have to be. I was thinking about what I liked when we all first met, and it was the give- and-take. And last night I tried to take more than I should have, which won't happen again. You can put that in a new contract; call it the "Bryce Clause." ELLA So, you can write that up as an equal split. BRYCE And all future decisions will be unanimous. ELLA Okay then. ANNIE What's in that omelette? BRYCE Everything but meat. ELLA Bryce is a vegetarian. ANNIE I know. That was one of the many things I noticed about him the first time we met. BRYCE Oh. SAM Is everybody ready to go? CASSIE Yeah, it looks like it. GRACE What's that noise? NICK My phone. It looks like the internet is working. And my update finally updated. You can text Noah if you want and let him know we'll be home soon? GRACE Just tell him I said hi, and explain to him why he's been receiving selfies from the bottom of a lake. NICK I really am sorry. GRACE I know. But I have to rub it in. SAM Is anybody hungry? We can stop on the way home for an early dinner. NICK Let's get a pizza. GRACE Pizza? I was thinking Indian, maybe Chinese? SAM There's also a good hamburger place on the way. CASSIE Or - I have an idea for something we all might like. CASSIE Oh, hello. ABIGAIL And welcome back to Grey House. This is Cassie and her daughter, Grace. Cassie runs things here when I'm not doing it. GRACE Hi. I'm going to go upstairs, call Noah and let him know we're back. CASSIE Okay. GRACE It was nice to meet you. CASSIE So, did you get everything done while you were here? ELLA We did more than that. CASSIE Well, then I guess Abigail was the perfect hostess. ABIGAIL See? It's not that hard. ELLA Thank you again. ABIGAIL Thank you. CASSIE Come back any time. BRYCE Hey, I have a car taking me to the airport. ANNIE Oh, I was going to call for one. Can we share? BRYCE Yeah, sure. CASSIE If you have time, there's a really good organic restaurant on your way out of town. BRYCE That sounds great. Yeah, thank you. ANNIE I'd love to go there. BRYCE Uh, no, let me get that for you. ABIGAIL Huh. CORINNE So when's your flight? DANIEL I'm on a red-eye, so I have all the rest of the night. CASSIE You should stop by the microbrewery. They have live music and I saw a poster for a dixieland quartet. CORINNE Oh my gosh, my dad used to play that music all the time. DANIEL Dixieland is underrated. CORINNE I agree. DANIEL By the way, I listened to Coltrane, he's awesome. ABIGAIL So, it looik like you got back just in time to pair up all the right people. CASSIE Well, I had a feeling when I assigned them their rooms that they each might want to, I don't know, get to know their neighbors. ABIGAIL Yeah, that is how you had things set up when they got here. CASSIE You didn't change the room assignments, did you? ABIGAIL Now, why would I do something like that? GRACE So many. CASSIE Oh, hey. Did you guys get unpacked? SAM We did. And then I took some time to beat Nick at a new video game. GRACE You let him win, didn't you? NICK Well, he wouldn't let me stop playing until he did. GRACE Poor guy. CASSIE That was a lot of fun up there. GRACE Yeah, you know what, I'm really glad we went. CASSIE Except we didn't get to play charades. GRACE That's true. SAM I'm up for a round right now. NICK Me, too. GRACE Okay, me and Nick versus the two of you. SAM Oh, you want to take us on? GRACE Mmm-hmm. NICK No, we want to beat you. CASSIE Sounds like they just threw down a challenge. SAM I think they just did. Come on. CASSIE Okay. Three words First word. NICK Uh you. GRACE Us. CASSIE You're? You're Second word. GRACE Running, running running! NICK Marching? CASSIE Going. Third word. GRACE Ground. NICK Under? CASSIE Down. SAM You're going down. And look at that - we're already ahead.
