But if you're a trans guy just knowing that there's nothing there and there's nothing under. It's, it sucks. So trans person, female to male they have to wear a packer, which is like a fake limp penis. And then they have to wear a harness to hold it in place, and then they have to put their underwear on. And that is a lot of work, and it's heavy. And then you can see it's already starting to puff up. I came up with the idea for my business because packers fall out your pants. Gabriel VO/OC One day when I was younger, I was actually swimming, and low and behold, guess what? I'm swimming this way, and my sock is swimming that way and I'm like oh crap, so I'm just like oh that's not mine, I'm like, no we're not doing this today. And ta da. It's nice and ripe. I love the feedback that I get from customers. A lot of people they'll write me saying, I love your underwear so much, you make me so much more confident. The final product looks like this it has a bulge in it. Bada bing bada boom, you have like a bulge right there. Like I actually made a product that people wear on a regular basis. Sometimes not all of them come out, which sucks because this foam is very very expensive. I make the packers myself and I sew them into the underwear, but I do get the underwear manufactured. About a year ago I went to Colombia to look for a new supplier. Gabriel VO/OC While I was in Colombia looking for somebody to sew my underpants, I met Isabel. Gabriel VO/OC We met at a mutual friend's house. And I was like, dang girl, she fine. Like she is so beautiful, like I'm like, oh like my heart is like melting. We definitely had immediate chemistry. Like I felt like her heart was like a boom, like there was a string and it was like, you don’t have to say anything. But it's like you feel it, like your chest just wants to be like, all the way to them. That's how, exactly how I felt. Gabriel VO That night we went out, we was kissing, we was dancing, we was hugging, it was a great night. And Isabel told me that she doesn’t have sex on the first night, which I was kind of relieved because she did not know that I was trans. Gabriel VO Today is gonna be a fun day. Gabriel VO/OC It's a very hard life being trans. It's not like one day you just wake up and you're like oh, you know what, I'm trans. No, it's a feeling that you feel your entire life. When I was younger I wanna say in kindergarten. My cousin had a friend that dressed like a boy. Once I found out that you know girls can wear boy clothes, I started with basketball shorts and I just wore basketball shorts every single day. When I as 16 years old I came out as lesbian, because I didn’t know that you can change your gender. I didn’t know anything like that, all I knew was oh I feel like a boy. But you know what I date girls. Oh I'm that when I was little that's what I just thought it was, you know? And then when I was 22 years old, I saw a video and this guy was transitioning, he used to put up videos about that. And so I was like wow that's crazy. So I watched all his videos in like back to back in like that whole night. After that I was like, all right I got to do this. I knew, like I didn’t have no doubts in my mind. Gabriel VO/OC There isn’t a written rule or an unwritten rule when to tell somebody, even like, somebody that you’re dating. But the morning after I met Isabel, I’m like, I have to tell her, I have to tell her. Gabriel VO/OC So I ended up telling her through text messages. And she tells me, it’s okay because I just see you as a man. Gabriel VO/OC And at that point I was like, oh yes, like, this is, like, it couldn’t have worked out in my favor, like, any better. Gabriel VO/OC A couple months after we met, I started renting an apartment in Medellin, Colombia. Babe. She's been through a lot of things, and I hope this will bring her happiness. Mona VO/OC One of the things I worry about, about going down there is, you have your healthcare issues, you know. Have you and Jeymi talked about your narcolepsy does she understand how it affects you and what it does to you? Kris VO/OC She says she does, but till I'm actually there, and she experiences it firsthand she's not really going to. Kris VO/OC Several years ago I was diagnosed with narcolepsy. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder, my brain doesn’t know when it's nighttime and daytime and when you're supposed to sleep and when you're not. I have memory problems, I have sleep spells. I'll just fall asleep in the middle of eating dinner. Every day it's a battle. It's very difficult you know, a lot of times in relationships people get mad, you know, because they think you're just not interested in them. You know it's just, in public people look down on me and it's hard for somebody to be with me. And have to deal with that. So for our relationship to work, she'd have to be understanding of it. Mona OC/VO Right. I just hope it's everything that you hope it's gonna be. Anna VO But she’s controlling where it goes and what’s going out and what’s coming in? Gabriel OC Yes, with receipts. Joseph OC How is she getting paid? Gabriel VO From me. Joseph OC Like a salary? I mean, what do you mean? What is she doing? Gabriel VO/OC No. If we work together then I’ll like, take money out for me and then I’ll give some to her. Krystal OC Do you help with the kids financially as well? Gabriel OC/VO Yes. We live together now. So… Anna OC You guys live together? Gabriel OC Her youngest son... Anna VO So you’ve taken on all of her responsibilities. Joseph VO/OC I, I think Gabe had every opportunity down here to be happy. Women throwing themselves on him, it's not like he had any shortage of options. So I wanna see her true intentions in regard to his livelihood. It's very suspect. Gabriel VO/OC I don’t know, I love her, like I don’t, she makes me not even wanna be here anymore. Like I'm ready to go. Anna OC I love you Gabe but this is fast. Joseph VO/OC Uprooting your life, it's a fairytale story right? Gabriel VO Yeah. Joseph OC But we've seen those fairytales that just take a left or a right somewhere wrong and you lose everything. Gabriel VO/OC Hearing my family's doubts, it kind of sucks a little bit. But I believe in my heart and soul Isabel is worth the risk that I'm taking. Starr VO/OC I worry about, you know you being safe over there. Kris OC Right. Starr VO/OC I've looked into the news, I've seen where they were like, I think the last one I read was 23 people killed in just a shootout. You're just a very easy target, for a place that you're not well known to. Like how many people around there are gonna speak English? Kris OC Right, being an American. Starr VO Yeah. Dayne OC If you had been over there before, you know. Starr OC Realized what is real… Dayne OC You would kind of know… Starr OC …and what's not. Dayne OC/VO …a little bit how it is, but not ever being over there, or being out of the country in general, you know? You have no idea what you're going into you know like. Kris VO/OC The biggest fear that people close to me have is that Colombia seems like a dangerous place. Jeymi says it's a lot safer than I expect it to be. But everybody thinks that I'm gonna get kidnapped from the airport and held for ransom. They would bring me back. They would get tired of hearing me, they'd be like go back home, get away from me. I'm not worried at all. Charles VO/OC I don’t, I mean do you really know what you're in for? Do you know what you're giving up here? Jen OC Yeah I, I know, I mean I am giving up a lot. Charles OC/VO And maybe I'm wrong, but every time I see a video of India, there's hoards of people and there's monkeys stealing people's lunch. I mean I like animals and stuff, but it looks rough man. I mean seriously. Jen OC/VO This looks rough to me. I'll be honest. Getting up at five o'clock in the morning to milk the cows. Charles VO/OC Two months. I would wonder if you're not stuck in this in-between point where, you're still very excited about somebody new but soon as you see him again, they wear on you really quick, you know? Because you haven't seen him in the last two years. Jen OC/VO Well of course I haven't seen him, but I feel like that's how I know that it's love, is because we talk regularly and I still feel the same about him as I did then. I feel like he's my soulmate. Daniele VO I am so over New York, like, it's dirty, everybody's miserable, everybody's mean, I can't take public transportation. Sandra OC We're not miserable. Lizzette OC Oh my gosh. Sandra OC Terrible. Daniele VO/OC Like I can't my rent is like all of the money that I make I have to work 12 hours a day, I work all weekend. And it's just like, it feels toxic, it's like. It doesn’t feel like the city when I first moved here and I was so excited, and I first started working with you guys. Like it was a different vibe and now I'm just like, I'm over this. I've experienced life in other places, that's so much more peaceful. Like why would I stay here? Like it's just so prohibitively expensive.
